Recently, the 49-ton fuel cell tractor from Feichi Technology has officially arrived in South America after a long journey across the sea. This export to the South American market marks another solid step forward for Feichi Technology in its overseas business layout, and it represents another milestone in the company's expansion of diversified application scenarios for fuel cell tractor.
Under the witness of Chile's Minister of Energy Diego Pardo and José Miguel Benavente, Executive Vice President of CORFO (Chilean Government's Production Development Corporation), Chile officially launched the country's first fuel cell tractor, which is poised to enter commercial operation. This significant move is part of CORFO's Technology Program (PTEC) and addresses the national challenge of adopting clean energy for cargo delivery.
"The arrival of the first Fuel Cell Tractor in Chile marks a new milestone for the country's logistics and transportation industry," said Diego Pardo, Chile's Minister of Energy. "In Chile, a series of innovative activities centered on green hydrogen are starting to develop. The most representative example is this fuel cell tractor made in China, which will officially join Chile's logistics operations and the clean energy forklift technology transformation project implemented in 2023, jointly strengthening the promotion of Chile's green hydrogen strategy."
Chile's introduction of Feichi's fuel cell tractor is a crucial measure by the local government to improve the public transportation environment and optimize logistics transportation methods. The 49-ton fuel cell tractor, which is now in commercial operation, is equipped with a high-performance fuel cell system, featuring ultra-long range, ultra-low hydrogen consumption, ultra-low operating costs, safety, and zero-carbon environmental protection. Tailored for the complex mountainous terrain of Chile, the truck combines advanced drive technology and robust structural design, adopting a large speed ratio four-speed gearbox to effortlessly handle steep slopes, providing an excellent solution for green delivery to end customers.
In recent years, China has introduced a series of support policies to promote the research and development, as well as commercial application, of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, offering broader market prospects for hydrogen vehicle manufacturers. Meanwhile, Feichi Technology has been closely monitoring global developments in the hydrogen vehicle sector, which not only accelerates the development of hydrogen technology but also presents growth opportunities for hydrogen vehicle manufacturers.
Looking ahead, Feichi Technology will seize the opportunities of the times, continue to deepen its international presence in the hydrogen vehicle sector, enhance multilateral exchanges and cooperation, and contribute to the practical application and promotion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in more business scenarios and regions. The company aims to bring China's advanced technologies and practical experiences in the hydrogen energy industry to the world, contributing to global green transportation and decarbonization efforts.
