On October 11, a grand ceremony was held for the delivery of 4.5-ton fuel cell refrigerated trucks by Foshan Feichi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Feichi Technology") to the Hydrogen Dryline in Hainan, marking the official entry of 33 fuel cell refrigerated trucks into Hainan's logistics system. With the deployment of these green and efficient fuel cell refrigerated trucks, Hainan's green and low-carbon logistics transportation system will be further accelerated, aiding in the construction of Hainan as a clean energy island and injecting new momentum into its green development. This also signifies the official launch of Hainan's fuel cell vehicle demonstration application project.
During the delivery ceremony, Lu Yangchun, Marketing Director of Feichi Technology, delivered a speech. He expressed, "It is an honor for Feichi Technology to collaborate with partners such as Qingneng, Sinopec, Dahe Siji, Hydrogen Dryline, and Luoniushan to be selected for Hainan's first batch of fuel cell vehicle technology demonstration application projects. This is not only recognition of our technical strength but also trust in our innovative capabilities. We will seize this opportunity to further deepen cooperation in Hainan, contribute to the construction of a green transportation system, and jointly promote the green development of Hainan Free Trade Port."
At the subsequent vehicle delivery ceremony, Lu Yangchun, Marketing Director of Feichi Technology, solemnly handed over the keys symbolizing the official launch of in-depth strategic cooperation to the representative of Hydrogen Dryline (Hainan) Cold Chain Logistics Co., Ltd. These 4.5-ton hydrogen refrigerated trucks, equipped with Qingneng's 80kW fuel cell system, have test data for their overall system that is at the leading industry level. Featuring zero emissions, temperature-controlled preservation, and low noise, they largely meet the temperature control needs of the entire cold chain logistics chain and possess high levels of safety, reliability, and environmental adaptability. With hydrogen refueling taking only a few minutes and a driving range of up to 400 kilometers, they comprehensively cover urban and intercity areas, encompassing six major scenarios such as supermarkets, fresh meat, pharmaceuticals, aquatics, flowers, and pre-cooked meals, creating greater economic value for end customers and aiding in the green transformation of the industry.
On January 8, 2024, eight departments including the Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission jointly released the "Medium and Long-Term Plan for the Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry in Hainan Province (2023-2035)." The Plan mentions exploring the application of hydrogen energy in cold chain logistics vehicles centered around the "one center and four nodes" (with Yangpu as the center and Haikou, Sanya, Dongfang, and Qionghai as nodes) for the cold chain logistics sector; deploying hydrogen energy in tourist buses and multi-functional passenger vehicles around the island's tourist highways and key scenic spots in Haikou, Sanya, and Danzhou; and replacing port forklifts and short-haul heavy-duty trucks with hydrogen-powered alternatives at ports such as Yangpu Port and Haikou Port, providing support for Hainan to join Guangdong's fuel cell vehicle demonstration city cluster. Feichi Technology's timely delivery is not only recognition of its extensive production and operation experience by the market but also the result of in-depth collaboration among multiple partners including Feichi Technology, Qingneng, Sinopec, Dahe Siji, Hydrogen Dryline, and Luoniushan. With the vehicles entering operation, it marks a breakthrough in Hainan's hydrogen commercial vehicle demonstration applications, filling the gap in Hainan's batch demonstration application scenarios for hydrogen refrigerated trucks, and aiding Hainan in building a new highland for an efficient, convenient, green, and low-carbon transportation system.
